Blushing Red was supposed to be a simple and quick painting, but it took me almost 3-1/2 months to finally complete it. I started to stall when my Wacom pen broke. I also had a few trips out of town, then somehow the inspiration to paint evaporated. Last week, my sister gave me the push I needed to finish this painting.

The portrait is a blushing bride wearing the traditional Chinese dress and a red veil. I felt rusty after the long break. It's not as refined as I would have liked, but nevertheless, it feels good to finish the painting. Reference Used.

Beautiful job, but she doesn't seem to be blushing to me...even a bit forward. I would think a blushing bride's eyes would be cast down to one side or the other with a faint glow on the cheeks. But I faved this piece because I like it a lot for what it is, not what the title says. Thanks, Rick
