I want to dedicate this painting to my sweetest DA friend, Christine!

A few months ago, she did the stunning Pearl Collector

for me to show her appreciation for my Rising Phoenix

Now I am reciprocating this painting of Elizabeth Taylor as a homage to Christine's latest DD, Ava Gardner Forever

This is my second drawing of Elizabeth Taylor. I thought she looks absolutely regal in this bullfighter bolero. The intricate stitches and decoration on the jacket were painfully fun to paint. I had to go against everything I know to paint the reflection of Liz. The broad and rough brush strokes drove me crazy, but it was the effect I needed.
