I encounter interesting challenges in every digital painting. It was either the gold metallic jewelry in Serenity, or it was the texture on the muscular arms of the UFC fighters.
This time it was the scarf! The gauze fabric with the twisty folds seem to go on and on. The spectrum of the material from dark to transparent was quite daunting. I experimented with different techniques to achieve the 'impression' of the fabric without actually having to weave the darn thing thread by thread.
I am pleased with the result. I dare say I love it enough that I will have it printed on canvas and display it at home. This will be a first for me!
