Lyoto Machida is a Japanese-Brazilian professional mixed martial arts fighter. He began training in karate at the age of three, and earned his black belt at the age of thirteen. Lyoto also began training in sumo at twelve and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at fifteen. He is considered by many to be the next big superstar of the UFC. In 2009 he won the UFC light heavyweight title by defeating Rashad Evens in near perfect fashion. He is the 1st UFC fighter to win a title with a perfect record (16-0).
